BellyMD is a physician-led biotech company building solutions for patients with chronic gut–brain conditions such as IBS, CVS and functional dyspepsia. After years of caring for and watching these patients be dismissed by the American healthcare system and a near death ER experience for one of the founders mothers, they decided to launch the brand in mid-2025. There are 3 key pillars of their business: supplements, an application connecting DGBI patients to their providers and after clinical trials are complete a prescription drug.
Summary
Sarah partnered with the BellyMD team in preparation for the launch of their first supplement line, leading both strategy and execution across marketing initiatives. She developed and implemented a comprehensive organic social media strategy, creating engaging short-form video content for Instagram and TikTok that helped grow both platforms to ~1K followers in under 6-months.
In addition to content creation, Sarah produced product photography and visual assets for the website, contributed to brand positioning and founder personal branding, and provided ongoing marketing consulting to help differentiate the brand in a highly saturated supplement market.
She also managed monthly performance reporting, stayed ahead of platform trends, conducted consistent social listening within the target demographic, and launched the company’s initial paid campaigns, which resulted in 15 direct sales.
